This summary is for convenience. The full terms below are what apply, and nothing in them takes away rights you have under consumer law.

01About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Ayush Gupta, the independent developer who makes Moonlet (“we”, “us”). They cover the Moonlet Mac app, Moonlet’s AI service and this website (together, “Moonlet”).
By downloading or using Moonlet, or buying Pro, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are part of them.
02Who can use Moonlet
You must be at least 16 to use Moonlet. To buy Pro, you must be old enough to make a purchase where you live, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission. If you use Moonlet for your organisation, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.
Moonlet runs on the Mac and macOS versions listed on our website. Its AI features need an internet connection. File conversions work offline.
03Plans and credits
Free
File conversions are free, with no time limit. The Free plan also includes a number of AI actions so you can try Moonlet. The app shows how many you have left.
Pro
Pro is a monthly subscription. Each billing period includes an allowance of AI credits, shown on our website and at checkout. Monthly credits reset at the start of each period. Unused monthly credits don’t carry over.
Top-ups
Pro subscribers can buy top-ups for extra credits. Top-up credits are used only after your monthly credits run out, and they don’t expire. If your Pro subscription ends, unused top-up credits stay on your license and are available again when you resubscribe.
How credits work
The app shows how many credits an action uses and how many you have left. Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred, sold or exchanged, except as our Refund Policy describes.
04Payment, tax and our reseller
Dodo Payments sells Moonlet Pro and top-ups to you as our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Dodo runs checkout, takes payment, calculates and collects any sales tax or VAT, issues receipts and invoices, and processes refunds. Your purchase is also covered by the Dodo Payments Buyer Terms. We remain responsible for Moonlet itself and for supporting you.
Prices are shown on our website and at checkout. Depending on where you live, tax is added at checkout or included in the price shown.
If we change the price of Pro, we’ll email existing subscribers at least 30 days before the new price applies to them, so you can cancel first if you prefer.
05Renewal and cancellation
Pro renews automatically every month and is charged to your saved payment method until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time using the subscription link in your Dodo Payments receipt email, or by emailing support@moonletapp.com.
- To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 48 hours before your renewal date.
- After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
06Your license to use Moonlet
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Moonlet on Macs you own or control. A Pro license key is for one person and can be active on up to 2 Macs at a time. To move it to another Mac, deactivate it on one of the others.
Moonlet, including its design, code and tool prompts, belongs to us. You may not:
- share, sell or publish your license key;
- copy, modify or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- get around credit limits, license checks or other limits;
- use Moonlet’s AI service outside the Moonlet app, or resell access to it.
07Your content and AI answers
You own your content. That includes the text and files you use with Moonlet and the answers Moonlet produces for you. You give us permission to process your content only as needed to run the features you use, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Check AI answers. AI can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, even when it sounds sure. Review answers before you rely on them, and don’t treat them as legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.
You are responsible for having the right to use the content you send, and for how you use what Moonlet produces.
08Fair use
Please don’t use Moonlet to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- create content that harasses, deceives or endangers people, or sexual content involving minors;
- send automated or bulk requests, or try to overload, probe or attack our servers;
- break the usage rules of the AI providers we use.
If you seriously or repeatedly break these rules, we may limit or suspend your access to the AI service. Where we can, we’ll tell you why first and give you a chance to respond.
09Other services
Moonlet relies on other services, such as Dodo Payments for purchases, AI model providers for answers and, if you turn it on, mem0 for memory. Their own terms apply to their services. We choose them carefully but don’t control them.
10Changes to Moonlet
We keep improving Moonlet, so features may change. If we remove a main Pro feature during a period you’ve paid for, you can ask for a refund of the unused part of that period.
If we ever stop running the AI service, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice and refund any unused paid time and unused top-up credits. File conversions run on your Mac and would keep working.
11Disclaimers
We work hard to make Moonlet reliable, but to the extent the law allows, it is provided “as is”, without promises that it will always be available, error-free or suited to a particular purpose. This doesn’t limit any guarantees you have under consumer law that can’t be excluded.
12Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim about Moonlet is limited to the amount you paid for Moonlet in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13Ending these terms
You can stop using Moonlet at any time by cancelling Pro and deleting the app. We may end or suspend your access if you seriously breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, disclaimers and liability, continue after these terms end.
14Governing law and disputes
If you have a problem, please email us first. Most issues can be fixed quickly that way.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you use Moonlet as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow it. Your purchase itself is also covered by the Dodo Payments Buyer Terms.
15Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, email Pro customers at least 14 days before they take effect. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then and ask for a refund of any unused paid time.
